Market launch - Saturday August 8, first Walden Local Food Market
At last everything is in place for the launch of our weekly Walden Local Food Market: Grants from Uttlesford Distrct Council, Local Food and Big Lottery Fund have covered most of our start-up costs. We have the co-operation of the local (mainly organic) fruit and vegetable growers in the area to keep our stall stocked with local seasonal produce all year round.
Market manager appointed
Liz Goddard, who has run a business specialising in local produce for the past 7 years, and runs the fruit and vegetable stall at several local farmers' markets has been appointed as Walden Local Food Market Manager.
